Situation
Dimark has been providing timely, reliable, andcost-effective, qualitative and quantitative
market research services for more than 20 years. Flexibility, customer focus and competitive pricing are key elements that allow Dimark to deliver effective customized
solutions to our clients.
Dimark's client list includes companies ranging in size from Fortune 500 to
small- and medium-sized businesses and extends to a
broad range of North American industries covering
telecommunications, agriculture, aerospace, not-for-profit, retail and
government.
Dimark employs more than 120 hourly
employees, both full-time and part-time, on constantly changing
schedules.
Problem
In the past, a staff person spent most of her time going
through manual time sheets, calculating hours by comparing schedules to
actual time worked, then tediously entering the totals into the payroll
system. Dimark's payroll processing team and management team were
desperate for a way of processing their payroll more quickly,
efficiently and accurately.
Solution
When
Dimark's team approached IBEX with their request to improve their
payroll process, they were surprised by the effort we took to
understand their problem and come up with a customized solution. Today,
the iPunch system accepts the employee schedules from Dimark's
scheduling system, validates the schedules against the actual time
worked by the staff, automatically calculates the pay owed to employees
and then automatically posts the hours to payroll. Throughout this
automated process staff are constantly advised of exceptions like
missed punches and deviations from their work schedule. These
exceptions are dealt with in only a few minutes each day; the system
takes care of the rest.
An IBEX iPayroll customer for years, Dimark
owner Speedy Espisito was eager to take advantage of the efficiency offered by IBEX’s
new iPunch software. In a matter of days, Dimark payroll staff
were trained, the iPunch software was installed and the system
was ready to go.
