1. Do we need to manage and/or set up the iPayStub every pay run?
No, once you've taken the short amount of time to set an employee up in the system, they will automatically receive their iPayStub each time they are included in a pay run.
2. How are we billed for the iPayStub service?
iPayStub fees are extracted from your payroll account at the time of payroll the same way your payroll fees are currently handled. You only pay for employees that are active iPayStub recipients and that are included in that pay period.
3. What happens if the employee's email address changes or if the iPayStub can't be delivered?
Your organization will receive notification regarding any iPayStubs that have not been successfully delivered. If an employee's email address changes you will need to go back into their profile and update their email address.
4. What happens if an employee has no email address?
An employee's iPayStub can be sent to any email address, so in cases where the employee does not have an email address, an employer will often choose to have the iPayStub sent to the payroll processor or department manager to print and hand out to the employee.
5. Are these safe and confidential to send via email?
Absolutely! iPayStubs are password encrypted, meaning you not only need access to the email account to view, but also a confidential password to open it.
6. Can I send the iPayStub to more than one email address?
No, not at this time.
7. Does the password have to be the last four digits of the employee's Social Insurance Number (SIN)?
The last four digits of the employee's SIN is the default password assigned by the system, but there is an override option that allows the system administrator to change the password. Simply enter the chosen password in the employee's profile. This feature is most often used when the employee does not have an email address and the employer is receiving the iPayStubs.
8. What if the employee forgets their password to retrieve the iPayStub?
Employee's can refer to their income tax returns, their SIN card or contact their employer to retrieve their password. If the password had been overridden in the system, then it can be reset with a new one and the iPayStub will be re-issued.
